Who Are We?
Shoreline Church is part of the wider Christian Church, one of the largest organisations in the world. Our Mission is to enrich people’s daily lives through the Good News brought by Jesus Christ, through learning together, bible training and building community.
Our passion is to love and serve all.
We are a Christian Church and charity located in the heart of Southport, Merseyside.
We are a member of the Assemblies of God (AOG) group of churches.
Shoreline Church serves the local community through providing a place of worship, pastoral care, counselling services, small groups programmes, youth projects, children’s clubs, schools work and community action. We organise fundraising to support local and national charities. We serve our global community through prayer, international partnering and overseas mission programmes.
Shoreline Church uses its charitable giving to provide local church ministry and services, support national and international ministry, to help meet the needs of people from all backgrounds. Shoreline Church receives income through charitable giving, fundraising events and grants.

Our Leaders
Pastor Pete
(email via the office) vicki@greenpastures.net
Pastor Pete, as he is known, was born and grew up in London. Born again at 21 after riotous teenaged living, his early working life was spent in the Share Market.
Later, in the ministry, he pastored several churches before taking on a small congregation in Southport in 1993. The church has grown considerably since then, and is now known as Shoreline Church.
Pastor Pete has always had a heart for the broken and homeless, feeding them and providing shelter anywhere possible, even in a caravan on the church car park. When a desperate young family came along in 1999, Pastor Pete cashed in his £6,000 pension plan and, he, his son Andrew, and co-director Vicki Woodley, purchased two flats for cash. The rest is history – Green Pastures Housing was born.
Anyone meeting Pete sees his love for humanity shining through – his infectious laugh and bright smile light up those around him. This love for his Saviour, and his taking literally His command to love all men, has yielded an impressive harvest, by any standards. Green Pastures has grown from simply loving and caring for people that society forgets.
Married to Linda Jean since 1969, they have six children and thirteen grand children.
Vicki
vicki@greenpastures.net
Vicki serves Shoreline on the Leadership Team heading up prayer ministry at the church. Vicki has worked for Shoreline Church (formally Argyle Road Church) since 1996. Her two children are Roy and Katie who she loves to spend time with.
Vicki helped to set up the housing ministry now known as Green Pastures in 1999 by buying two flats with Pastor Pete and it is now housing people all over the UK. In her own words she “…loves being part of all the wonderful ministries blossoming from the Shoreline Family. Having such a big family to belong to is amazing. God really does bless us abundantly.”
